Actor and singer Robert Morse arrives with a guest on the red carpet for the 65th Annual Tony Awards at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on June 12, 2011. In 2011 a successful revival was mounted of the legendary Broadway musical , `How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.` Morse won a Tony for his leading role in the original production 50 years earlier, in 1961. Morse`s acting and singing career on stage, screen, and television lasted nearly 7 decades. He won a second Tony for `Tru,` playing the role of Truman Capote in a 1-man show in 1989. Morse also won a SAG Award and 2 Primetime Emmys. He was part of the Emmy for Ensemble Acting in a tv drama, playing the role of `Bertram Cooper` in `Madmen. Morse was playing a prominent role on Broadway as recently as 2015-2016, playing `Mr. Pincus` in `The Front Page.` Morse died in his Los Angeles after a short illness on April 20, 2022, at the age of 90.
