| This section of stones, at the ring of Brodgar at Stenness on the Orkney islands, are part of a World heritage site. They are part of a circle that is 341 feet in diameter. The ring is only about 1/4 mile from the Stenness standing stones, and is surrounded by a ditch. It is the most northerly stone circle in the British isles, and the date of construction, is still unknown. |
