| In July 2021 Ahr valley was hit by a major flood disaster with many dead and large areas devastated. Dernau an der Ahr is one of places with big losses and visible damage even one year later. The beautiful wine area was once a touristic hotspot and known for the good wine. The rebuilding of this area takes many years. The vineyards on the hills still look great, but the lower valley part is still in need |
