The manacá-da-serra Tibouchina mutabilis is a pioneer tree of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, very characteristic of the humid slope of Serra do Mar, of the dense rainforest of the Atlantic slope of the states of Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and São Paulo .
