Next to Menabilly beach is a the small Polridmouth bay where the remains of twisted metal of an old shipwreck. The wreck was called the Romanie and she was a steel three masted sailing vessel with an auxillary engine. There was no point in trying to salvage her, so she was left to go to pieces in 1930. |
