Xerochrysum bracteatum (Vent.) Tzvelev is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant of the genus Chrysanthemum in the Asteraceae family. Its stem is upright and multi branched. Leaves are elongated lanceolate or linear, entire, with a smooth surface and prominent main veins. The flower is a head shaped inflorescence with a single branching end. Achene small rod-shaped, with four edges on top. The flowering period is from July to September, and the fruiting period is from September to October.
