This beautiful raptor was flying through this really blue sky looking for something to eat. I love the colors of this bird and how in this picture he really looks to be concentrating. His wings have a pretty stripe pattern on them with black, brown, and white all running across. His red tail at the end, which is what gives him the name, seems to almost catch the sun just right. The sky was really clear this day with hardly any clouds. This picture was taken in the East Coventry township outside of Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
