Built in 1897, the historic Red Onion Saloon on 2nd and Broadway in Skagway, Alaska, was once the premiere bordello in a town that was rife with them, particularly during the great goldrush of 1898. The establishment spread good cheer and venereal disease to all comers. The ground floor is a restaurant and bar, selling touristy kitsch, while for $20 you can have a tour of the upper floor which is a restored version of the whorehouse (without the prostitutes) run by the notorious madam, "Diamond Lil."
