| Crown of Thorns (Euphorbia milii) is a succulent flowering shrub with densely spiny stems. Its other names are -- Christ plant, or Christ thorn and called Corona de Cristo in Latin America. It's a member of spurge family Euphorbiaciae and native to Madagascar. The common name is due to the thorns and deep red bracts referring to the crown thorn Jesus had to wear during his crucifixion and his blood. |
