The village of Durankulak is the extreme northeastern settlement in Bulgaria, only 5 km south of the border with Romania and 2 km from the coast. Its south beach is a wonderful place - spacious, windy with crystal clear seawater. There is a campsite near it. A thin sand strip separates the Durankulak Lake from the sea.
