The ancient city of Dongchang in China is located in the middle of Dongchang Lake in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, the city wall of the Northern Song Dynasty. The city is square, with a total area of about 1 million square meters. The city wall was built in the third year of Song Xining (1070), and was originally a soil city. In the fifth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1372), Pingshan Wei Shouyu commanded Chen Yong, the military commissioner, to transform the earth city of Dongchang into a brick city in order to fight the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty. This is the west door Qingyuan gate.
