Paphiopedilum purpuratum (Line.) Stein is a terrestrial or semi epiphytic plant of the Orchidaceae family and the genus Paphiopedilum. The leaves are basal, narrow elliptical or elongated elliptical in shape, with grid spots of dark green and light yellow green alternating, and the back is light green The bracts are ovate lanceolate, the middle sepals are white with purple or purplish red coarse veins, the sepals are light green with dark veins, the petals are purple red or light chestnut with dark longitudinal veins, green white halos, and black warts. The lips are purple brown or light chestnut, the middle sepals are ovate heart-shaped, and the sepals are ovate or ovate lanceolate. The petals are nearly oblong, and the lips are inverted helmets
