Finelly carved wooden facade and mural paintings of a interior building at the Punakha Dzong, Punakha, Bhutan. Punakha Dzong is the administrative centre of Punakha District. It was was built in 1637-38 by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st Zabdrung Rimpoche. The Dzong is located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu riversand it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan. |
