Buffing Bill Steam Train takes passengers through the rainforest from Belgrave to Menzies Creek. The puffing billy was one of four low cost 762mm railways built in Victoria in the early 1900.the current line runs through rain forest and fern gullies of the Dandenong Range. a landslide closed the line in 1953. The preservation society reopened the railway in 1962 and finished the route that now runs to Gembrook in 1998.Buffing Bily is the most popular steam railway in Australia today |
