Hosta plantain Grandiflora Grandiflora is a low perennial plant native to the Middle Kingdom. It also grows in Japan. It was this variety that was first brought to Europe, where the plant quickly became popular due to its decorativeness and undemanding nature. Appearance: Compact perennial with very dense, plantain-like foliage. Height is about 60 cm. The shape of the crown is rounded. The petioles are long and grow horizontally. The tips of the leaves look down, giving the impression of a multi-tiered cascade. The root system is superficial, grows in width. Leaves: Hosta Grandiflora has heart-shaped, wide leaves with a pointed tip. The surface is shiny, corrugated. The color is a nice light green shade.
