| Niscemi, Sicily â August 2, 2025. Demonstration against the US military MUOS satellite communication system based inside the Sughereta nature reserve in Niscemi. Hundreds of No MUOS activists gathered near the site to protest the ongoing presence of the American military infrastructure on Sicilian territory. The demonstration featured speeches, artistic performances, and an open-air assembly where participants sat on the road to listen and discuss proposals. A strong youth presence and several environmental and pacifist organizations took part. The event was closely monitored by law enforcement but remained largely peaceful. |
