| Preserved houses in denmark copenhagen.Køge is an older town with a number of old townhouses located in its center, especially around Køge Torv which include Køge Town Hall and Kong Hans' Farm, from respectively 1550 and 1634, side by side with older town houses. On the square is also a statue of Frederik 7. created by the artist Herman Wilhelm Bissen in 1869. Between Kirkestræde and Nørregade St. Nicholas Church, a Gothic church was built during the years 1250-1300 with a 43 meter high tower. The church is the city's landmarks. Near the church in Kirkestræde 20 will find Denmark's oldest dated timbered listed in 1527, the house is now part of Køge Children's Library |
