The 14th President of the United States, Franklin Pierce of New Hampshire is very poorly regarded by historians. If there is more than a passing physical resmeblance to George W. Bush, perhaps it is because he is the ancestor of Barbara Bush, the 43rd president's mother. This life-size wax figure of Pierce is a mannequin an the site is Madame Tussauds in Washington DC. The Confederate imagery in the background symbolizws the Civil War which erupted 4 years after he left office. He was dubbed a doughface which connoted his Southern sympathies despite the fact that he was a Northerner, a Yankee no less; March 3, 2012.
