Fukagawa FudodoIt is a temple of the Chizan sect of the Shingon sect located in Tomioka, Koto Ward, Tokyo, and the Tokyo branch of Naritasan Shinshoji Temple in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. At the beginning of the Edo period, Kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa performed a play in which Fudo Myoo appeared, and the desire to see Fudo Myoo at Mt. Narita increased among Edo people. In response to this, in 1703, the first Narita Fudo's ``Dekaicho' (in modern terms, ``Special Opening of Hidden Buddha') was held at Eitaiji Temple, the Betto of Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine. This was the beginning of Fukagawa Fudodo.https: youtu.be OM539a4F_T0
