| Porta di Pietra is ancient passage / entrance gate in Old town in Croatian capital Zagreb. There is crhirstian altar where people could pray. A painting of Mary, miraculously saved from a fire in 1731 in the house above the gate, is found in a chapel in the gate. Smoke from candles purchased have blackened the ceiling. Stone plaques on the walls give thanks for prayers answered. Always someone or a crowd of people praying. |
