| Perast is a town in Montenegro with a population of 349. It is located in the Bay of Kotor, on the Adriatic coast, a few kilometers northwest of Kotor. Near the town are two small islands: Sveti Dorde (St. George's Island), which houses a 12th-century Benedictine monastery, and Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks), a small artificial island of 3,030 m², which houses an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of the Rock. |
