The island of Porquerolles is the largest and westernmost of the three islands of Hyères with its 12,54 km2. It forms an arc oriented east-west, the cut edges, 7.5 km long and 3 km wide. Its perimeter is about thirty kilometers. The island rises to the semaphore to 142 m. It owes its conservation status in that it is owned by the French State since 1971 and has the status of "National Park" since
