| A Benedictine Community was established at Pommiers-en-Forez from circa 834; than in 960 were administrated by Cluny. A Roman Church Saint Pierre-Saint paul was built between the XIth and XIIth centuries. And a Village slowly developped around the monastery. The city was walled during the XIVth century.
