| La Plaza de Santa Maria de Guadalupe is the epicenter of Guadalupe, the townââ¬â¢s most popular attraction where you can find the main entrance to the Basilica and Royal Monastery of Guadalupe. In the center of the square, thereââ¬â¢s a historic stone fountain that serves as a sort of makeshift rotunda. This fountain was where the first natives brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus were baptized and the origin of the Virgin de Guadalupeââ¬â¢s popularity throughout Latin America. |
