54.86 metres high the Pisa Baptistry Baptistery stands on the same grounds as the leaning tower of Pisa and the Pisa cathedral. Constructed in marble the lower portion is built in the romanesque style and the upper portion in the gothic style. It took over 200 years to complete, started in 1152 and finished in 1363.
