| The Labská Reservoir or Labská Dam (formerly the Krausovy boudy Dam) is a water reservoir built on the Elbe River on the southern edge of Špindler?v Mlýn and near its Labská section. It was built between 1910 and 1916, mainly as a flood protection. It is the uppermost stage of the system of waterworks on the Elbe, which captures most of the snow water in the central part of the Giant Mountains. A small hydroelectric power plant has been operating in the dam since 1994. |
