Piesport is a wine making village in Mosel valley between Bernkastel-Kues and Trier. The Mittelmosel area is a wide valley with vineyards in the lower areas and on the hills, the Steillagen. The area is known for white wine, mostly Riesling, and tourism. Idyllic villages along the Moselle mix with modern small town providing the touristic infrastructure.
