| Cosmos is a herbaceous, annual plant, showy flowers and easy to grow. It is erect, branched and shrubby, reaching 0.5 to 2 meters in height according to the range and mode of cultivation. Its leaves are opposite, pinnate, finely divided into linear and threadlike segments, giving a feathery appearance to the foliage. The inflorescence can be single or double, and the chapter is kind, with numerous tiny flowers forming a yellow central disk and peripheral petals with serrated edges.
