| Wat Kamphaeng Bangchak is today in the midst of an urban community.It is presumed that the temple was built during the late Ayutthaya period. While small, the temple is full of big surprises.Inside the prayer hall,the principal Buddha image - Luang Phor Bussarakum - is in the attitude of subduing Mara.The murals decorating the hall are believed to be the work of the great master painter Khrua Ta In Khong.There are also two small chapels where Buddha images more than 200 years old are kept. |
