Pictured is the Pavilion of the South on the east side of the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt. The pyramid It was built in the 27th century BC for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser. Its architect was Imhotep, chancellor of the pharaoh and high priest of the god Ra. It is part of an archaeological site in the Saqqara necropolis and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Pavilion of the South is a dummy structure purely symbolic of an actual equivalent building made of organic materials from the king`s lifetime.
