Parasa consocia belongs to the genus Parasa in the family Lasiocampidae. The body of the old and familiar larva is slightly rectangular, initially yellow, and later yellowish green to green. The pupa is oval, initially milky white to light yellow, and gradually turns yellowish brown. The cocoon is oval and hard, and its color is mostly the same as that of the host tree bark, generally ranging from grayish brown to dark brown. |
