Crane is considered as a mystical creature in Japan, and is believed to live for a thousand year. It is therefore considered to represent good fortune and longevity. The Japanese refer to the crane as a bird of happiness, hope and healing, and folding 1000 origami cranes will make someone`s wish come true. At the museum, there is a circular wall adorned with 1000 origami cranes created by Mr. Manna Ori, a Dutch paperfolding artist. I represent the hope and wish for everlasting peace.
