Fort Worth was nicknamed the `Panther City` when a newspaper story reported that Fort Worth was so dull and drowsy that a panther was seen sleeping in the city on the steps by the courthouse. The artist was Franco Alessandrini and the architect was Raymond O`Connor. It is part of the public art collection of Forth Worth, Texas, and was erected in 2002. |
