The Palace of the Burgundian Dukes in Dijon, France were build in several stages starting from 1365. The central tower - Tower Phillipe the Good is one of the oldest parts of the palace. The current neoclassical look, togheter with the square in front of it - Liberation Square, was given in the 17th century, after the powerfull kingdom of Burgundy was annexed to France, and the palace became the regional parliament. Today houses the Dijon's town-hall and the Museum of Beaux-Arts. |
