| Volunteer firefighters from all over Long Island, NY joined together to fight the fire at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Copiague on June 3 2020. Billowing black smoke and flames as the firefighters arrived and began to fight the fire. A three story brick building went up in flames quickly, the roof collapsing, which ultimately, took out the entire auditorium. Rubble and ash was extensive and the firefighters returned the next morning because the rubble was still smoking. |
