The oldest church of Amsterdam city.nOude Kerk old church is one of the oldest buildings in Amsterdam consecrated in 1306, sitting at the heart of the city and surrounded by the red-light district. The actual building of the church grew from the 14th century single-aisled church into a basilica. Indeed 17th to 18th centruy houses are build sharing a wall with the church. The wooden spire was added in 1565.
