| Old castle of Oron by beautiful weather, Oron-le-Chatel, Vaud canton, Switzerland, next to a cut trunk. It was built in the XIIIrd century. The castle belonged to several private owners (1801 : Roberti family, 1870 : Adolphe Gaiffe) and was once used as a prison. There is a unique library inside that posesses one of the largest private collections of french novelists of the 18th Century in Europe. Now, this castle belongs to the Association pour la Conservation du chateau d'Oron and is recognize as a swiss heritage site of national significance. |
