The orca whale is a marine mammal found in every ocean of the world. It is the largest member of the dolphin family, reaching lengths of up to 32 feet and weighing up to 10 tons. Orcas are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of their food chain, and they feed on a variety of fish including salmon, squid, seals, and sea birds. They live in pods, or clans, and communicate using a wide range of clicks and whistles. Orcas are intelligent and social animals and have been observed engaging in playful behavior, including breaching and spyhopping. They are also extremely powerful swimmers and can stay underwater for up to 15 minutes at a time.
