Pictured is one of a series of three plaques on a large concrete semi-wall making up the Jardin De Heroes Veteran's Memorial in Uvalde, Texas. This plaque notes that an improvement project was accomplished for the Jardin De Heroes in 1996 by the City of Uvalde in partnership with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The original project that created the memorial in 1978 was a project of the City of Uvalde, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the United States Department of the Interior. The memorial is dedicated to veterans of all wars who died in service to the United States.
