Budapest, Hungary. The Budapest Castle Hill Funicular or Budavari Siklo is a open funicular railway in the city. It links the Adam Clark Square and the Szechenyi Chain Bridge at river level to Buda Castle above. Originally opened in 1870, it was wrecked by German shelling in 1945 and was left in a state of disrepair until being fully restored in 1986.
