The laohunhe bridge was built in 1942 during the puppet Manchuria Period, with a total length of 664 meters and a width of 9 meters. The overall structure of the bridge is of double cantilever type, and the piers are of 3-column structure the piers are supported by 3 columns side by side. There are 30 holes in the bridge body, of which 28 holes in the middle span 22 meters and 15 meters on both sides. The foundation of the bridge is 9 meters deep with a bearing capacity of 10 tons. The bridge is the earliest bridge on Hun River in Shenyang. It played an important role in the traffic on both sides of Hun River at the beginning of construction. The 61 year old Hun River Bridge was demolished by blasting at about 4:00 a.m. on December 19, 2003, and only the piers between the 17th and 18th holes were reserved for commemoration
