Prosthechea cochleata (L.) W.E. Higgins is a perennial epiphytic orchid in the Orchidaceae family, belonging to the genus Octopodium. The plant is 15-30 centimeters tall, with a flattened oval shaped pseudobulb and a raceme inflorescence. It grows upright from the place where the pseudobulb leaves are attached, with a stem length of 25-30 centimeters and a fragrant aroma. The lips are located directly above and slightly curved inward. The front part is yellow green with thick purple brown stripes, the sides are dark purple, the base is white, and the folds are yellow. The flowering period is summer and autumn, and the flowering period of a single flower can reach 25-30 days. |
