| The Norse Mill and Kiln buildings give a rare glimpse into the Scandinavian past of the Isle of Lewis. The Thatched buildings are situated on the A858 road near Loch Roinavat The mill stones was used to process barley grain into meal in a horizontal mill, powered by the stream from the loch. The Corn Mill and Kiln were used into the 1930`s. They were restored in the 1960`s. |
