The Guangji Bridge is located outside the east gate of the ancient city of Chaozhou, Guangdong province, spanning the Hanjiang River. It was built in 1171 AD and is one of the four ancient Bridges in China. With a total length of 515 meters, the bridge integrates beam bridge, pontoon bridge and arch bridge. The middle section is connected with 18 shuttle boats, which is the earliest switch active stone bridge in the world.After nightfall, the floating section of Guangji Bridge has been removed, allowing for navigation. |
