The market square forms an urban layout together with the diagonally adjacent Solny square and the square around the church of St. Elizabeth. Ten streets lead to the Market Square - two in each corner: ?widnicka and O?awska to the south-east corner, Wita Stwosza and Ku?nicza to the north-east, Odrza?ska and ?w. Miko?aja, and Solny Square with Ruska and Gepperta Streets adjoins the south-western corner. On the eastern frontage there is Kurzy Targ Street, and on the northern one there is a narrow Wi?zienna Street. On the southern frontage there is the Passage of St. Dorota, turning into Zau?ek Jerzy Grotowskiego (former St. Dorothy Street).
