Harbin Railway Station is located in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China, under the jurisdiction of China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Harbin railway station is the starting and terminal station of Harbin qihar high speed railway, Harbin Mu high speed railway and Harbin Jiamusi railway. Harbin railway station was built in October 1899. It is the central hub of the East Qing Railway the predecessor of the Middle East Railway, which was jointly built by China and Russia. It has undergone four station building transformations. In April 2017, Harbin station carried out the demolition and reconstruction of the main station building. On August 31, 2017, Harbin station north station house and North Square were put into use. On December 25, 2018, the south station house of Harbin station was put into use, and the main station house has been reconstructed. As of December 2018, Harbin station has 8 platforms and 14 lines, which is the second largest European style railway station in China. The total construction area is 73624 square meters, including 10844 square meters for the north station and 29030 square meters for the south station.
