The Xinbaishatuo Yangtze River Bridge is a key control project of the Chongqing-Guizhou Railway. It has a total length of 5,320 meters and crosses the Baishatuo River section of the Yangtze River. The main bridge is a double-layer six-line railway steel truss cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 920.4 meters, of which the upper layer is a four-line railway passenger dedicated line with a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour; the lower layer is a double-line Chongqing-Guizhou railway freight line with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The load weight of the bridge per meter is 35 tons, while that of the ordinary railway bridge is 16 tons. The bridge is the world`s first six-track railway steel truss cable-stayed bridge, the world`s longest main span and the heaviest load six-track railway steel-truss cable-stayed bridge, and the world`s first double-decker railway Steel truss cable-stayed bridge.
