The Arc de Triomphe (officially and Catalan, Arc del Triomf) is a monument located in the city of Barcelona, designed by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas as the main entrance to the Universal Exposition of Barcelona in 1888. It is located between Passeig Lluís Companys and Passeig de Sant Joan [1]. The brick structure, inspired neomudéjar, at an altitude of 30 meters. Unlike other triumphal arches marking military, the Arc de Triomphe in Barcelona has a greater civilian progress marked by artistic, scientific and economic. The Arc de Triomphe has been used as a target on occasion for some of the most important popular foot races in Barcelona, and the Jean Bouin or Barcelona Marathon. The arch was restored in 1990.
