Melderstein is an old mill in RÃ¥ne River Valley. The mill was founded by Jonas Meldercreutz, Abraham Steinholtz, and Carl Thingvall the 1740s to extract iron ore from Malmberget. Hammer mills was started in 1741 and 1743 to produce iron rods.
