Indian famous festival Diwali festival of light. Lamp is burning. nDiwali also called “Deepawali” is a major Hindu festival of India. The festival is celebrated with unequal zeal and pleasure by Hindus, throughout the country. It is celebrated to commemorate the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after an exile of 12 years. Rama is a very popular Hindu deity who is revered for his truthfulness and India is known as the land of festivals, and Diwali is one of India’s biggest festivals. It is a festival of lights, and every Indian celebrates it with joy. In the right terms, this is the festival which emphasizes the victory of light over darkness.nnIt is a Hindu festival, held in the period October to November. It is particularly associated with Goddess Lakshmi and marks the beginning of the financial year in our country. Sweets and gifts are exchanged, children burst crackers, a lot of delicacies are prepared, people wear new clothes, and all the family members come together to acknowledge this day. In my opinion, it is one of the most enjoyable, beautiful and sacred festivals .In North India, the Hindus celebrate Diwali to honor Rama-chandra, the seventh incarnation of the Lord Vishnu. It is believed that on this day Rama with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana returned to Ayodhyahis kingdom after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demon king, Ravana.
